Why Get Educated?

Studying online can open up a new world of opportunities by giving you the qualifications you need to get your dream job. Without the need to attend classes in a physical location, online study is often more flexible and can fit around your existing job and responsibilities.

It can be tricky to choose an online degree program. That’s why Get Educated has pulled together information about over 75 schools offering accredited online programs, so you can select the one that’s right for you.

You can easily search over 950 specific programs and check your eligibility. Programs covered in the database include arts, law, healthcare, and engineering. Filters make it simple to narrow down the lists and rankings by field of study, specific concentration, and degree level.

For extra support with planning your career, the service’s resources page gives lots of ideas about what to study. These in-depth guides run down things like jobs you can get through certain fields of study, alternative career paths, and details of specific careers. This is a really useful feature, especially if you’re still considering your options.

Get Educated Special Features

With Get Educated, it’s really easy to connect to a wide variety of online schools. These schools are based across the United States, including state, religious, business, and specialized online schools. The database covers a variety of courses. For example, you can find a Master of Science in Aerospace Engineering, a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, an Associate of Applied Science in Early Childhood Development, or a Diploma in Biblical Studies.

You can access a profile for each school and find out if you’re eligible by entering your zip code, program of interest, and highest prior academic achievement. This is a useful way to quickly check if each program is right for you.

Another fantastic feature from Get Educated that I particularly like is the affordability ranking, which gives you a rundown of the costs for each course so you can work out which one will fit your budget.

How it Works

When you land on the Get Educated page, you’ll first see the degree browser. This brief online form lets you input your desired field of study, concentration, and degree level. You can then browse the online degree programs that fit what you’re looking for. This search process takes about two minutes, but selecting your degree program might take longer depending on the subject you want to study and how many options there are. I’d prefer it if there were more ways to filter the search results to narrow your options down.

You can also use the affordability rankings to check out the tuition fees for the different programs. Simply navigate to your field of study and concentration, and you’ll be taken to a ranked list of programs with tuition fees listed. Fees are given for both in-state and out-of-state students. I like the fact that the affordability rankings are not influenced by commission, but are calculated entirely on tuition fee data.

I searched for a bachelor's in criminal justice using the online degree search function and found that Get Educated gives a brief summary of what that course is all about and some of the opportunities it can unlock. I got a list of 264 courses to pick from. I checked my eligibility for those I was interested in and found plenty of available options. There was also an option to request more information to be emailed over to me. After I input my details, Get Educated suggested another school that other users had requested information from.

It took just a couple of minutes to generate this list, and this could be a great place to start your research into an affordable online degree. If you want to apply for your chosen program, however, note that you will need to do this through the school itself.

Get Educated Accreditation & Certification

Get Educated lets you search for accredited programs, including associate and bachelor degrees, certificates, and diplomas from a range of schools. In fact, the site claims to list ALL accredited online schools and degrees available in the USA. That means there’s sure to be a course that’s right for you, whatever your level of study. You can even complete your high school diploma through some of the courses featured on Get Educated.

Note that Get Educated doesn’t deliver or accredit courses itself. It does not list unaccredited programs or fake/scam schools, so you can feel secure in your choices when searching the Get Educated database.

Get Educated Support Center

You can contact Get Educated through a form on the website if you need help with anything. There aren’t any other options for support at this time; it would be helpful if there were a live chat feature, for example.

Bottom Line

Get Educated is a great resource if you’re considering taking an online degree program to boost your career prospects. You can search a database of over 950 programs in moments, including a wide variety of degree subjects like law, healthcare, and the arts. Programs are drawn from a range of schools, all of which offer online study options so you can earn your degree while continuing your other responsibilities.

With Get Educated, you can also explore rankings of affordability to find an online degree that meets your budget or use the site’s resources to learn more about different jobs. Although the search function is a little basic, and there’s limited support, this is still a very useful website for those who want to study online. It puts all the information you need at your fingertips so you can make a decision about which online degree program you’d like to enroll in.
